Have you ever bumped into the “Access denied” error when posting photos to SharePoint site feed?
The ULS logs will report something like this:
System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access denied., StackTrace: at Microsoft.SharePoint.SPFolderCollection.AddInternal(String strUrl, Int32 userId) at Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.UserProfileGlobal.GetOrCreatePictureFolder(String mySiteHostUrl, ProfileType profileType, Boolean createIfNotFound, Boolean forFeedAttachment)…
ProfileImageStore.SaveUploadedFile: Exception: System.Threading.ThreadAbortException:…
Running this Powershell command should fix it up:
$webApp = Get-SPWebApplication "<my site web app>"
$webApp.GrantAccessToProcessIdentity("<portal app pool account>")
Please contact us know should this not fix the issue.
