In light of the recent and ongoing developments regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, there have been some changes we all need to accept. However, we still all want each work day, and this includes travel to and from work, to be as comfortable and safe as possible.
FiveP, therefore, is strongly committed to ensuring, as far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of the working environment for its [employees, directors, volunteers, work placement students, interns, contractors, clients, customers, partners and suppliers] (team members) in accordance with its duty of care and obligations under applicable State-based occupational health and safety legislation.
This is particularly the case when an infectious disease develops into an epidemic or pandemic, and creates increased risks for our team members, and the wider community.
We note that the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared, in March 2020, that COVID-19 was to be classified as a pandemic.
Supports the rights of all team members to work in an environment that is, so far as is reasonably practicable, safe and without risks to health or safety;
is committed to partnering and consulting with all team members in relation to epidemics / pandemics to ensure the resolution of any occupational health and safety issues; and
is committed to slowing the spread of epidemics / pandemics, in particular so that the most vulnerable members of our community are protected.
FiveP has instructed all of our staff to conduct meetings remotely wherever practical;
FiveP has suspended all international and domestic air travel for the immediate future.
We also understand that we will need to be flexible with any in-flight work that we are currently managing with you.
The FiveP team is committed to continuing to provide services to all of our customers during this crisis. The inherent nature of how we run our business means that we are prepared, able and well equipped to continue to operate normally, even whilst all of our staff have been encouraged to work remotely if they prefer. Should we receive guidance from peak bodies that best practice is to enforce working remotely, we will.
What FiveP are doing to help
We are acutely aware of the urgency that some organisations may now be feeling to enable remote working and we are fully committed to supporting this in whatever way we can. We have taken the decision to make some of our delivery material publicly available for organisations in a position where they have had to make a business decision to move to remote work and need assistance in managing this shift. We also understand that we will need to be flexible with any in-flight work that we are currently managing with you.
During this time it is important to act swiftly and in accordance with evidence-based best practices whilst remaining empathetic, supportive of our community and each other. The safety and well-being of your team members, our team members and their families remains our top priority.
