Primary Care Connect (PCC) are regarded as a community health service that engages well with vulnerable and hard to reach community groups. PCC have over 25 programs focusing on a range of health and well-being issues and they pride themselves on providing person-centered and consumer-driven care that allows people to take control of their lives and bring about change.

What solutions were you using prior to engaging with us, if any?

We had an existing SharePoint, but it was not functional. Staff could not find documents they were looking for, our existing SharePoint was not engaging or exciting to look at, and, basically, became a place to simply save documents (that you couldn’t find again though!). Primary Care Connect are also doing a lot of work to build a collaborative culture in our workforce and our current systems were a real barrier to achieving this.

What challenges and objectives led you to look for a new solution? How did these challenges manifest themselves into pain points?

Communication and engagement with our staff was a barrier for us all to truly collaborate effectively on projects and service delivery. We were also halfway between transitioning to Office 365, but had little to no knowledge on the potential it actually had.

What was most important to you when evaluating your options?

Having a company that understands, or takes the time to understand our business, and what we do. The level and quality of support were key for us. As a not-for-profit organisation, the price was also an important factor for us.

What were the most challenging aspects of the project and how did FiveP help?

Knowing what we wanted and what we could actually achieve with SharePoint was one of them, but FiveP really helped us understand what our pain points were, and what we could do to fix them. Our low level of knowledge was a concern too, but FiveP were fantastic in teaching our team and being very patient with all of our questions.

What were your time frame expectations for this project and how did FiveP help meet them?

To be honest, we were not on a strict timeline, but with the help of the FiveP team, the project ran on time and communication was fantastic.

How was the solution adopted by the different types of users?

We have finished our training with the staff during the first week of April (2018), and our team are excited to start using MILO (our new SharePoint). They can really see the benefits of it, and how it will help in collaboration and working better as a team.

What are the benefits that you are experiencing?

  • Increased productivity and efficiency
  • Increased staff engagement and satisfaction
